A few days ago, according to the feedback of many sellers, the new policy of Amazon US station FBA shipment inbound has changed. According to the official notice, the shipment automatic closing time will be updated, since February 1, 2024 after the creation of the shipment, such as the shipment is not delivered within 45 days domestic/75 days international (original 90 days), the shipment will be automatically closed.
On the other hand, if the shipment does not meet Amazon’s requirements or is not in stock with the inbound program, Amazon will reject the shipment and charge the seller an inbound defect fee to cover the additional costs of re-routing the item, receiving and processing the shipment.
The following circumstances may result in shipment rejection or additional charges:
1. Shipments are delivered to the wrong location: Shipments are sent to other operation centers that are not part of the operation centers listed in the Inbound Plan.
2. Deleted and discarded shipments.
Domestic shipments not delivered within 45 days of shipment creation and International shipments not delivered within 75 days of shipment creation.
In a Multiple Destination Inbound program, other shipments do not arrive within 30 days of the first shipment, or a shipment is created and assigned as a Multi-Destination shipment, and only a portion of the shipment is sent, while the rest of the sub-shipments are deleted (deletion of the bins).
If a Seller wants to change an approved Inbound Plan, all shipments that are part of the plan must be deleted before any shipments within the plan can begin to be shipped.
